Andrew Xu

Andrew Xu is a composer based in New York. His music merges various harmonic textures to create unique sound worlds and takes inspiration from abstract concepts, particularly in art, literature, and philosophy. His works have been recognized and performed by NPR’s From the Top, National Young Composers Challenge, Kodak Quartet, Emissary Quartet, PHACE Ensemble, and The Juilliard School. He is currently pursuing his academic and musical studies at Yale University (B.A.), having previously studied composition at Juilliard Pre-College with Dr. Manuel Sosa.
